    Default P/O Hugh Merritt RCAF

    Hello,

Would anyone have some information regarding Hugh 'Hughie' Merritt of Smithville, Ontario?

He served as a Pilot Officer in 401 Squadron in 1942 (maybe 1941, too, but I don't know when he was posted to this Squadron).

    Thanks,

    Fox.

There is a newpaper article describing his homecoming at the Democracy at War site here: http://collections.civilisations.ca/warclip/objects/common/webmedia.php?irn=5020988
    Another article here: http://collections.civilisations.ca/warclip/objects/common/webmedia.php?irn=5003787
    A picture here: http://collections.civilisations.ca/warclip/objects/common/webmedia.php?irn=5020625

The Democracy at War website has a very large searchable database of Canadian newpaper articles from the war.
