The forum search facility for posts, users, previous etc was corrupted during an aborted version upgrade.
This will eventually correct itself as current posts pass into the archive and the index rebuilds.
However it is no great loss as Google provides a far more robust way to search the forum.
To use open a new browser window and select Google..any national edition or .com will do.
Select the advanced search options (on Google it comes up when you click the gear wheel on top, far right banner)
Fill in the search terms as normal (it will also accept user names if you wish to find all your previous posts)
Select the domain as rafcommands.com
Then hit search
Google will restrict its search to any matching text string that exists in www.rafcommands.com
This information has been repeated at regular intervals and in previous sticky messages but the increasing posts on the matter suggest that a dedicated sticky message is needed.
