Dear All.
There are, from time to time, some unusual annotations to entries in the LG.
You may remember the "missing" annotation for J B Leno (which, by the way, we're no where nearer solving!).
We have another one for which we seek the expertise of the Forum. H Garnett (14722) was Commissioned Sqn Ldr in the RAFVR Met Branch on 1 Apr 43. His next entry says he Resigned his Commission (rank still Sqn Ldr) on 17 Jan 45. The War is not over at this point. The annotation says "Ceased Employment". This is the only member of the Met Branch discovered with this annotation (so far!). He was not 60 yrs old - so not of Retirement age. He was employed as a civilian meteorologist for a number of years after 17 Jan 45
What, I ask, does "Ceased Employment" mean in LG-speak? Does anybody know?
