    Default F/Sgt D. LAYLAND 1442844

    Hello Gents,

Does any know what were the first name (s) of the above mentioned pilot? He was Flight Sergeant in Spring 1945.

    Thanks in advance

Are youo certain he is only a single initial first name? Where did the information come from? If a F/Sgt in 1945 the chances of finding him anywhere in say the LG get smaller. Probably demobbed.

You can search the LG for combinations for initials, to see if anything turns up.

    Hi Dennis,

I don't know if it is the same guy. 'My' D. Layland was serving with No.146 Sqn in Burma and I found all the details in the ORB. Only one initial is reported but may have some more. I believed he survived the war and may have served in the post-war RAF.

Have to check again for Wallis.

    Thanks for helping

    Phil
