    Default 401 Sqdn: P/O Hoken & S/P Wright

    Hi all,

On September 26, 1942, Pilot Officer HOKEN and Sergeant Pilot WRIGHT (401 Squadron RCAF) had to bail out over the Channel while returning from a Circus (lack of fuel).

P/O HOKEN (Spifire BR981) was rescued but S/P WRIGHT (Spitfire BS311) could not bail out in time and crash-landed his aircraft in England and got injured.

I am looking for a picture of the above mentioned airmen, and their service number too. Also, any help regarding the code letter of the aircraft would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Fox.

    Dennis,

My mistake -- I have just checked it out in the ORB and found that P/O HOKAN (previously misspelled) "was last seen in a gradual dive and has not been picked up."

    Thank you,

    Fox.
