Default 1 group Pilsen April 1943

By Any chance has anyone got the pages from 1 Group ops records for 16/17th April still trying to find my 'lost' 12 sqn crews for Plzen. No ops records sqns exist for April 1943. I suspect the missing 2 out of the 9 tasked that night may Be the Hill, Keefe of possibly Swann crews.

    Thanks Peter

    Default Pilsen 12 sqn

Sorry gents you misunderstand. You are correct 12 sqn had no crews which were FTR that night. However 9 crews took off and since no ops records sqns for April 43 exist, I am searching for two crews and a/c serials. I have found 7 of the crews which 12 sqn sent out and am missing details of the final two.

The only records as far as I know which exist are the station records for Wickenby which show some aircraft movements in and out over the 17th to the 20th of April 1943

The following crews show up on aircraft movements at Wickenby on or after 16/17th April 43 therefore
Hill, Keefe (he was on his third op when lost on Stettin 20/21st April 43) or possibly Swann crews are candidates.

Pavel the list of Hailifaxes to which you refer is my own list, but in any case I have listed all the crews and aircraft on Pilsen in my book about the raid (which I am not trying to plug!)

    regards Peter
