Default 64 Squadron ORB, July 1940.

    Hallo all,

Does anyone have a copy of the Operational Record Book for 64 Squadron during July 1940 ? I would like to check one or two points.

    Regards,

    Martin Gleeson.

    Hello Martin,

You can try with Old RAF Records.com (http://www.oldrafrecords.com). 64 Sqn will be added soon and if you contact Robin Barnes he might give some priority to this squadron. He was very helpful when I wished to see 23 Sqn added.

    Regard,
    Peter

    Hallo Peter,

Thanks for your reply. I check Robin's website every day to see if he has any new ORB on it. Great website and a wonderful resource. I would not dare to suggest any particular squadron to him, there are at least 50 more I want to see !

    Regards,

    Martin.

    Default 64 Squadron Orb

Individual months of 64 Squadron Orb (Air27/589) are available to down load at National Archive documents on-line. Each month costs 3.50

    Hallo Guy,

thanks for that but a few months ago I purchased the full ORB for 1936 to December 1940 (AIR 27 / 589 ) for 20.00 on a CD. Much better value as I have the F.540 and the F.541 as well.

    Regards,

    Martin.

    Hallo Guy,

Unfortunately I cannot. I do not know if a unit history of 64 Squadron was ever published. Perhaps other forum members can assist ?

I did check 'AIR BATTLE DUNKIRK' and 'RAF FIGHTER COMMAND', both by Norman Franks, but did not find any photos of 64 Squadron from the period you are looking for.

    Regards,

    Martin Gleeson.
