    Default 115 Squadron, Little Snoring

    My late uncle, Robert Ashworth Crawshaw, was the navigator of a Lancaster bomber, serial number DS684 (XID KO-M) which was shot down over France on the night of 16th August 1943 and crashed in a field in the village of Chenay near Alencon with loss of all life. Rob was the only Kiwi on board with the rest of the crew all from the RAF. I have just returned home to Christchurch, NZ after visiting Chenay and Le Mans and I am searching for any relatives of the rest of the crew so I can share my story with them.

    Searching for relations of;
    Squadron Leader John Russell Watson - Pilot
    Sergeant Adrian Bernard Heyes - Flight Engineer of Birmingham
    Sergeant Walter Bell Pettet - Wireless Operator/Air Gunner of Edinburgh
    Sergeant Charles Edward Brook - Bomb Aimer of Boldon Colliery, County Durham
    Sergeant Richard Clifford - Mid Upper Gunner
    Sergeant Stanley Eastwood - Rear Gunner
