I G F W Hamilton registered in Oxford district,
James L H MacMurray registered in Ulverston district, Cumbria and Lancashire. but the death register gives an age of 20 CWGC has age 45. This might take a bit of looking through the Scotish records also.
Roger Jackson aged 23, Spalding district, Lincolnshire, contains Donington - Master II - DL851
Reece, Hereford district, herefordshire but spilling over into other counties also.
TUSHINGHAM is registered in Crewe district.

Henk,
Re: Mosquito NF.II DD614. This aircraft had been loaned (from No.456 Sqn RAAF) to No.140 Sqn on 1-8-1943. It is reported to have crash-landed at Eversley Cross, seriously injuring the pilot. The pilot is only named as Gilbert in one ref, and in all likelihood was; 146879 P/O Leslie James GILBERT, who is listed as Wounded or Injured on Active Service in The Times, October 23, 1943. Also mentioned is one F/Sgt G.P. JUPP, not sure if he was involved. Given that No.140 Sqn was stationed at Hartford Bridge, a crash-landing at Eversley Cross is not unreasonable.
Maybe one of our PR men can clear this up?

140 Sqn ORB states:
F.540
09 Aug 43 P/O L.J. Gilbert crashed in a Mosquito aircraft - no serial is given and this was not an operational flight. No corresponding F.541 entry

Per Speculationem Impellor ad Intelligendum
The No.5 (P)AFU ORB & F.1180 gives Flying Officer Robert Peter Abbey, 124380, as a second fatality from DL609.
The only fatality from N5053 was Sergeant W. Mackiewicz 794941 PAF and there were no fatalities from LS986

Thanks friends for all this excellent support.
Al: Yes, F/O ABBEY was on my unaccounted list but forgot to mention his name in my thread.
For 9-8-1943 also have on file F/Sgt (Pilot) Jerzy M. GOLASZEWSKI - PAF 783087 of 305 (PAF) Sqn (Ingham, Lincs.), who died in Rauceby Hospital. His death may not have been related to an aircraft accident. He lies buried in the Newark-upon-Trent cemetery.
Regards,
Henk.

There was a James Laurie Hutchison MacMurray born in Kelton, Kirkcudbright in 1922. As the CWGC has a person of the same name buried in Castle Douglas Cemetery, Kelton, it would appear that the age given by the CWGC is wrong.
