    Hi John
From RAF Bomber Command Losses Vol 6, W R Chorley, LM157,WP-C, of 90 Sqn crashed following engine failure whilst on an Air Test. After landing it skidded to a stop but collided with a pole and caught fire. It seems to have had 9 on board of whom Sgt J L Mathias was the only fatality. The pilot was F/Lt K J Sullivan RAAF who survived. As it was an Air test it is possible that the others were groundcrew along for the ride but it was not unusual for groundcrew to fly on the test of an a/c that they had just worked on. Their names are not recorded in the Sqn records and some could have been part of Sullivan's regular crew
    Regards
    Dick
