Default 131 Squadron, "Lt. Burt USAAF", missing 4 September 1943

Is anyone able to identify one "Lt. Burt" USAAF of 131 Squadron who appears in Franks' FCL and the 11 Group ORB Appendix as failing to return from Ramrod S.31 on 4 September 1943?

Both Franks and the 11 Group ORB state he was USAAF, and Franks suggests he was gaining combat experience with 131 Squadron. My resources and internet searches have not revealed anything helpful.

I'm seeking a forename, a confirmation of the surname, and his fate.

    Thanks

    Steve,
Spitfire V.C EE746 shot down by FW 190 over British Channel on Ramrod. He was 12th Squadron, 67th Reconnaissance Group and commemorated Walls of the Missing at Crambridge. Attd 131 Sqn for operational experience. Date on the Walls of the Missing 5-9-1944 (what was normnal for the Americans: ONE YEAR and ONE DAY after missing the official date of death).
    Regards,
    Henk.
