Default Mosquito Casualty, Ramrod 500, 31 January 1944

Could someone please provide me some information on the Mosquito that crashed at Ford on return from an aborted attack on a Noball target at ‘Bois Megle’ in Ramrod 500 on 31 January 1944?

I am seeking the identities of the aircraft and crew, who I understand was killed, and the reason for the crash.

    Thanks

Thanks for your quick response Dave.

Do you have any idea what caused the aircraft to come down?

    Thanks

Andy Saunders in 'Bombers over Sussex' "Another Mosquito loss is recorded at Priors Leas, Poling on 31st Jan 1944 resulting in the deaths of F/O Jones and F/Sgt Settle. In this episode one of the four 500lb bombs on board could not be found and presumably remains unaccounted for to this day."

David Smith's 'Mosquito Crash Log' -"A/c dived steeply into the ground at Priors Leas, Sussex, killing two."

Christopher Shores '2nd TAF ' refers to fog and gives an (estimated?) time of 14.20.

    That's all I have.

    regards
