    Default F/S R.D. Reesor, RCAF

    Hi all,

Flight Sergeant Robert Dunham REESOR (R/86846) was KIA on October 2nd, 1942 while serving with 401 Squadron.

Despite searching on several databases (CWGC, Canadian virtual war memorial...) I have not been able to find his date and place of birth.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Fox.

According to the book “The Reesor Family In Canada (A Trail Through the Centuries)” (Published 2000):

“Robert Dunham Reesor Born January 20, 1924 in Pontiac, MI. Died October 2, 1942. Robert was in the R.C.A.F. He was killed in action over France.”

Parents are listed as Robert Elgin Reesor (1891-1958) (born Cedar Grove, ON) and Ellen Dunham (1895-1976) (born Lanark, ON).

    Regards,
    Christian

Thank you all, I do appreciate your help.

Thought the details you provided do not match perfectly, one can assume Reesor was born on January 020, 1923 in the United States (Michigan).

    Hi all,

Considering that 'Bobby' Reesor was born in the US but raised in Canada, was he an American citizen or a Canadian citizen?

    Thanks,

    Fox.
