    Simon,
Just joined & new to this. Cpl Brennen was my Dad's half brother. Born Bebside, remembered on an engraved rosebowl, property of Annitsford Methodist Church. Happy to share the little further info I've gleaned so far & happy to hear of any you may have too. Would have copied in Andy Ingham to this reply but don't know how to.
    John.

    Hello John

Thanks for the message. I've been doing some work with the North East War Memorials Project, and came across Cpl. Brennen's name on the following two memorials at Annitsford, incuding the rosebowl you mentioned:

    http://www.newmp.org.uk/detail.php?contentId=10058

I've also supplied some information for their 'Every Name a Story' page for Corporal Brennen:

If you have any more info, I'd be most interested to see it.

    Regards

    Simon
