No. 15 Servicing Flight of the Royal Air Force was assigned to work at an airfield in France called 'Mathieu' on 15 June 1940. They only spent this one day there servicing and repairing Hurricanes. I do not know what squadrons were using that airfield on that day. I think 'Mathieu' was a British codename.

Can anyone please tell me what French airfield this was ? It could be Dinard, Le Mans or perhaps somewhere else ? Indeed does anyone know of a list or document with all of the RAF codenames for locations in France 1939-1940 ? Names such as 'Violet', 'Panther', 'Auntie', etc.
