    Default Examples of RAF Forms

In recent discussions the content of various RAF Forms referenced in Form 1180 were discussed.

I noticed that there was some doubt as to the extent of information these remote documents contained.

I've now added a new forum

    http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?10-RAF-Forms

I will add examples of various RAF Forms along with any definitive clauses relating to use.

The first two show that Form 765 came in various different types and contained little useful information to that on the Form 1180. Form 412 on the other hand was a more verbose version of the Form 1180 and contained witness accounts that were not included.

What a great idea Ross, I really appreciate it!
I will be glad if you will come across forms "G" and "Q".
I will also check my own photos from Prague archive if I will find any different froms.

Default Form G - Daily Aircraft and Crew State Report

    Hi Pavel,

In trying to get some order into the mess of Lettered RAF Forms I've come across two references to two very diferent types of RAF Form G.

The Form G that I think you have heard references to is:

Form G - Daily Aircraft and Crew State Report

I do not have an example so any that you come across would be a welcome addition to the Reference Forum.

    Regards
    Ross

    Default Sample Forms

    Hi Ross

Many thanks for providing these extra details to enlighten us all.

No issue, but I'm a little surprised. I'm sure I suggested something like this about a year ago but you responded saying that you couldn't put sample copy docs on the Forum for copyright reasons. Or am I missing something? Wouldn't be the first time!

But anyway, thanks again for all you do in running this site.

Been beavering away for about a year with a couple of the archives getting agreement for a fair use display.

NAA was quickest of all just asked for copyright to be acknowledged.

TNA was a bit more of a problem. As long as the images were not from their reprographics department then fair use only. So needed to be photos taken by individuals and in the case of ORB it comes from a film digitally converted by myself rather than one converted and supplied by the TNA.

Finally I need to vet the submissions to make sure that they meet the agreements.

Took quite a bit of work but RAFM is the last to get onboard now,

    Regards
    Ross
