    Default 32 Squadron 7 June 1940

    Hi guys

On 7 June 1940, Hurricanes from 32 Squadron escorted Blenheims to raid Abbeville. Two Bf109s were claimed shot down.

Has anyone details of the claimants?

    Cheers
    Brian

    Further elimination,

P/O John Flinders did not make a claim on June 7, so it must be S/Ldr Worrall and P/O Kirkcaldie who claimed the 109s on this date.

    Default 32 Squadron

    Hi Ian

Thanks for your effort, much appreciated.

    However, still not conclusive!

I hope to get to National Archives soon and will search for combat reports etc.

    Cheers

Yes this is something of a mystery. The 32 sqdn ORB 540 form mentions these combats but does not name the pilots. The book Battle of France, Peter C.... suggests any claims for the 7th were from 79 sqdn, so good hunting.

PS: are you also going to check the 336 Greek sqdn ORB for details of their 1943 losses over Crete ? (Ref your earlier post)
