    Hudson I, N7308 of No 1 (C) OTU
    Sgt RYAN, LEO FRANCIS (416368) RAAF; age: 28
    Sgt WEARNE, DOUGLAS JOHN (408544) RAAF; age: 22

    Beaufighter VI, EL402 of No 2 (C) OTU
    Flt Sgt DICKSON, JAMES SEATTER (409206) RAAF; age: 20
    Sgt MILES, JOSEPH (992871) RAFVR; age: 22

    The two names you have for EL402 are correct, both named in the ORB.

    No.99 Sqn.
    Wellington IC HD977

    Aircraft detailed to carry out operational night bombing. On return to Digri, at the end of its landing run, a hung-up bomb fell from the aircraft and exploded, destroying the aircraft by fire.

    J/5972 F/O (Capt./Pilot) William Garfield CLARK RCAF - Blown clear of aircraft, dangerously injured. Died of injuries 24-1-1943.
    1074125 Sgt (2nd Pilot) Edward Michael CROFT RAFVR +
    AUS402573 Sgt (Nav.) John Drummond MAY RAAF +
    1004284 F/Sgt (W.Op./Air Gnr) Alexander Benjamin GRIGOR RAFVR - Rescued injured, but died in BMH, Calcutta the following day(6-1-1943).
    1281529 Sgt (W.Op./Air Gnr.) Francis Edwin John ORCHARD RAFVR +
    1022753 Sgt (Air Gnr.) F N ROBERTSON RAFVR - Blown from his turret. Admitted to SSQ suffering shock and slight burns.

    Croft, May and Orchard, originally buried Kharagpur Christian Cemetery. later re-interred Ranchi War Cemetery. Clark and Grigor, buried Calcutta (Bhowanipore) Cemetery.
