Malcolm,
LAWRENCE (ER707) not yet in my files but ER707 may be the correct serial.
I've RAWDEN on EL321 together with F/O E.W. CUNNINGHAM (RCAF J/11074).
On JL447 I've together with PARNELL: Sgt Stuart BELL - 1148684.
(Both Beaufighter crews confirmed by Ross).
Henk.
Hi Henk, Col, David, Malcolm and whoever else may see this
Flying Officer John Rawden was my father’s brother (ie he would have been my uncle had he not been killed before I was born) after whom I was named. He flew with Flying Officer (RCAF) Elson Cunningham.
Researching my family history is one of my passions. Do any of you have any information about him additional to what is mentioned in this thread, or can you point me in any direction where I might find more? Anything you can tell me, or any advice you can give me, will be very gratefully received. Many thanks.
John Rawden
Hi John,
My father’s brother was Elson who flew with your fathers brother. I don’t no much about the events that occurred on January 30th. I do have a great picture of Elson and John - looks like their official pilot and co-pilot if you don’t have it I can scan and send it to you. All the best. Ross

Ross,
John has not visited the board since 2015.
I have sent him an email at the address we had to advise him of your post.
Regards,
Dave
