Many thanks Col
I have no names for the 418 Squadron Boston, but I do have this info:
With No. 418 (I) Squadron, RCAF. Lost when it struck a tree during low level training flight on 8 February 1943. Crashed one mile NW of Vington Hall, UK. 3 crew killed.
Thanks Bill, probably was those three but I'll wait to see if anyone else can confirm
Malcolm

Hello,
9-2-1943
Accident listed as 8-2-1943
656550 Sgt (Pilot) Antony Manderson HARRIS RAF, was not aboard Liberator II AL591. HARRIS, along with R/82990 F/Sgt (R/O) Ronald Charles BROOKS RCAF, were aboard Hudson IIIA FH235 when it crashed at Whiteface Mountain, NY., on 8-2-1943, during a local snowstorm. Both are listed on the CWGC with a date of death as, 9-2-1943.
ELDING,BROWN,LEWIS and OWEN (including 15 others), were aboard Liberator II AL591.

Thanks Al for the link
Col, I actually had Harris in FH235, but accidentally added him to the Liberator, thanks for pointing it out.

Malcolm,
6 Feb 1943 - AG632 and PEAKE: same in my files.
7 Feb 1943 - AP236 and STEEL: in my files date of accident 6 Feb and date of death 7 Feb.
7 Feb 1943 - HX602: a big problem. CWGC has date of death for RAYNER, KNOX and DUNNETT "17th" Feb; for EVERINGHAM "7th" Feb. In Australian files Everingham's date of death 7-2-1943 (what seems to be in the ORB) amended into 17-2-1943. Also in Australian files aircraft serial HX722 what was a Mk. VIII and crashed on Shallufa 02.31 hrs 'due to enemy action'. Burials were 18th Feb. AUS411345 Sgt Colin McCREA - RAAF - was slightly injured (blown off the aircraft). It seems that a hanged up bomb exploded on landing.
Air Britain for HX602: Mk. VIII - 458 Sqn - Missing 7-2-1943.
Air Britain for HX722: Mk. I.C - 458 Sqn - Missing from patrol 25-3-1943.
I keep it on HX722 and 17-2-1943. Perhaps Col will come up with comment.
7 Feb 1943 - EN385 and TAFFS: same in my files (confirmed by Ross).
7 Feb 1943 - L3390 and TALBOT: also have as a casualty P/O (Pilot) Stuart ROGERS - RCAF J/16434 (from USA): TSGNO (Les Allison) page 654.
8 Feb 1943 - MOSELEY: correct, he was on the bus and died the day after.
8 Feb 1943 - W8380 and ADAMS/ROSS/JACKSON: also have as a casualty a non-authorized passenger: Cpl (AEM) Basil KAPUSTA - RCAF R/71151; TSGNO page 375.
8 Feb 1943 - BP881 and VAN DER HEIJDEN: same in my files (confirmed by Ross).
8 Feb 1943 - HX733 and ADAMS: same in my files.
9 Feb 1943 - AG647 and RICHARDSON: same in my files.
9 Feb 1943 - AL982 and BAKER: same in my files.
9 Feb 1943 - V8457 and HUTCHINGS/TOONE: same in my files (confirmed by Ross).
10 Feb 1943 - R2248 and PRICE/NOCKLES/KHAN: same in my files.
10 Feb 1943 - AH744 and WRIGHT: same in my files.
Regards,
Henk.
