    Default Lancaster DS647 12 June 1943

    Morning,

This Lanc is believed to have crashed near Mill, SE Holland. Does anyone know what the exact crashlocation was ? I do have some info that it could have taken place on the way to Uden, alongside a road called "Vorleweg", but could not verify this yet.

    TIA,
    Hans

My notes have conflicting information on this aircraft: either with 426 Squadron or 115 Squadron when lost on raid to Dusselfdorf on 11/12 June 1943. Can anyone confirm the squadron?

Sorry, no information on crash location.

Have on file that the aircraft was shot down by Major Werner Streib and crashed Oranjeboomstraat (name of a street) in the centre of Mill, about 02.16 hrs.

BCL Vol 4 records it as a 115 Sqn aircraft which crashed near Mill. Streib is also cited as the cause

    Cheers
