    Default Battle L5636

Can someone please provide a brief history of this aircraft?

I'm trying to track down an RCAF instructional Battle that is identified in RCAF records as ex RAF L7636, but that was a Swordfish. I'm thinking the Canadian record is a typo for L5636. Any other suggestions are welcome of course.

    Bill,

Couldn't be Battle L5636, which was delivered to the RAAF on 12 July, 1943 (ex-RAF). It served with the Air Gunnery School and was passed to the Department of Aircraft Production for disposal in November 1947.

It was K7636, taken on charge 30th May 1940 at 1 TTS, St Thomas, as instructional airframe A87.
Struck off charge 14th February 1945.

Thanks all. The RCAF Record Card clearly says L7636, as does Griffin's first book.
