On the night of 8/9th Feb 45, 61sqdn lost 3 a/c on ops to Politz. The one i am interested in is the one with the Tasker crew on board. The ORB and Battle Orders in the Appendices show PB759, Chorley also records this serial in his 1945 Losses, Taskers logbook has been filled in, obviously by someone else, with the code letter "N", which also relates to PB759.
Against this, Clutton-Brock, in "Footprints" has ME443 as the aircraft flown by Tasker, as does the MREU report in Taskers NAA casualty file. Any ideas pointing to the true identity would be welcome, while i'm waiting for the RAF Museum to send the AM Form 78 for each of the aircraft concerned.
