Default Squadron Leader Peter George Roland HEATH, 37174

    Gents,

Following on from my success, thanks to Errol with S/Ldr W.M.C Williams DFC I am hoping I can do the same with the above officer.

He arrived on No.218 Squadron (RAF Marham) late October 1941 and carried out a number of operations both as 2nd pilot and captain. Once again the ORB does not mention the arrival or departure of this officer. I can only presume he was there for operational experience. From my own research I know he joined the RAF on probation in 1935. In late 1941 he was posted to No.40 Squadron then onto No.156 as commanding officer, sadly killed May 30th 1942.

Does anyone have any information on where this officer was serving between 1939 - 1941, I have a been informed via the association it was training command. Any pointers most welcome.

    Kind regards

    Steve
