Default WO Victor Arthur Roe DFM CGO

This airman has probably been discussed in the past but I have just seen a repeat of the Antiques Road Show in which he was featured.

This extraordinary Lancaster rear gunner was killed on his 85th operation { 4th tour } and was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Medal which was one of only 100 during the war. On his 19th op he had been awarded an immediate DFM after shooting down a ME110. He did this after suffering shrapnel wounds.

More about him with a Google search. Should be CGM.
