    Default 401 Squadron again

    Hi all,

Despite deeper research on the Internet and in my documentation, I am still missing the individual letter of some Spitfires serving with 401 Squadron some time in 1942.

    Spitfire Vb BL236 "YO*?"
    Spitfire Vb BM429 "YO*?"
    Spitfire Vb BM650 "YO*?"

    Spitfire IX BR628 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BR981 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BR985 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS145 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS157 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS159 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS172 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS176 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS183 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS202 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS277 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS311 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS317 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS383 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS391 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS534 "YO*?"
    Spitfire IX BS474 "YO*?"

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Fox.

Thank you very much, John. It helps a lot!

Would you have any 'photographic evidence' of it?

    Default 401 Sq.

I have a note saying that my source is "Spitfire - the Canadians II". But I can't find the book right now, so I don't know if it is a photo or a profile, I have seen.

    Thanks, John.

Does anybody have any information regarding the other aircraft?

My father was in the ground crew of the 401. Here is a picture of YO-A being repaired after a crash.

Sorry I do not know details of the plane.
