    Default George Campbell Tomlinson

I am looking into the above person, I know that he was a South African but believe ne was in command of a UK based Squadron from November 1939. He also got the DFC in 1940, he survived the War, believe fininshing as Group Captain, and he had for sometime been commanding Officer at Wrexham. Can anyone help with details of the Squadron that he commanded from Novemeber 1939, I presume this was the one that he won the DFC with.

    Many Thanks

    Neil

Hello Neil, re info about my father George Campbell Tomlinson - I might be able to help if you're still after details. And maybe you could help me with my efforts to find out more about his wartime service. Best wishes, Rex

    Rex,

I suggest you obtain your father's service record from the RAR. Details can be found at
    http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/AboutDefence/CorporatePublications/PersonnelPublications/ServiceRecords/RequestFormsForServicePersonnelDetailsRoyalAirForc e.htm

Sould you have any problems with some of the acronyms in his service record his forum would be only to happy to advise.

    Brian
