    Default R K Walker 502132

    Hi,

I have seen an LG page from Nov 1952 stating R K Walker (502132) was promoted from P/O to F/O.

My question is.....could this person have been in the RAF in 1940/41 as a Sergeant Air Observer?

    Regards,
    Simon

    Simon,
Your Ronald Kenneth Walker (502132) was, most likely, Birth Reg Q2 1930 Derby. So unless he lied considerably about his age at the Recruiting Office it is not likely he was NCO aircrew in WW2.
However, there some Ronald K Walker's who's Birth Yrs/Reg might qualify:-
WALKER Ronald K England Yorkshire, Skipton 1918
WALKER Ronald K England London, Wandsworth 1923
WALKER Ronald K England Wiltshire, Swindon 1923

    Thanks Peter.

I didnt think it was him but wanted to be sure.

Thanks for your suggestions for the other Ronald Walker's but therein lies a problem, I dont know that the Airman I am looking for was called Ronald. All I have is his initials R K. I have no forenames or service number unfortunately.

He was a Sgt Air Observer on 30 Sqn in 1940/41 but I have no further information.

Oh well, the hunt goes on.

    Regards,
    Simon

    Simon,
It is just possible that an R K Walker (NZ 40248) might be your man? Not competent on Kiwi Fliers - But Errol Martyn is!! If he's listening on the circuit, he may be able to help you. At the time of typing this it's still VERY early in the morning in Kiwiland. Give it few hours (and several cups of coffee) and you may get an answer!

Unfortunately not. I checked him out a while ago and definitely not him.
