    Default 179 Sqn Loss 12th June 1944

I am trying to find out more about the loss of a 179 Squadron aircraft on the 12th June 1944. All I know is that one of the crew was Sgt Bashford.

I am assuming the aircraft was lost without trace as he is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.

    Any help would be great.

Just wanted to bring this one up again.

Do any members have any idea if Burn was a member of the crew as he does not seem to be listed on the CWGC web site.

    All the best,

    Johnnie
