    Hi Henk
The 2 registered at Weston could be associated with Oxford LB404. The crash site is close to Lulsgate Bottom where the airfield has now been developed into Bristol Airport but is some distance SW of the city of Bristol. It is not mentioned in the list of communities reporting deaths to Weston(Weston-super- mare) but villages around it are on the list.
    Regards
    Dick

Chelvey Batch was in the parish of Brockley, which was in the Weston registration district, so yes Oxford LB404.

Thanks Al & Dick for info on BRELEY and SMITH. This loss is not listed in an appendix of an unknown book "Allied aircraft losses/accidents and crew casualties in Somerset 1939-1945". (Title of book not known to me, appendix 1 printed on pages 193 - 202).
    Regards,
    Henk.
