    Hi Alain

Have you thought of contacting Thomas Carney's son Alan? He's the managing director of the firm featured on the website. His contact details are on the website. He may have access to his father's logbook or other information.

Dave, I contacted him, unfortunately he knows nothing, his father never spoke of what he did during the war and he did not keep his logbook ...so his son would be happy to know more too .

Bonjour Alain, I hope you are well.

I have forwarded this on to a friend of mine who has detailed records of 619 Squadron - as soon as he replies I'll post the answer here for you.

    All the best, Greg

    Hello !
Thomas Carney arrived in 619 in March 45 . Not sure that Gamble was in 619 as Carney seems to have posted after the end of war to 97 squadron ...
The pilot was P/O Seazell ....?

Explained why I did not find neither Gamble, nor Carney in 1944.

I'll have a look again tonight.

Sgt. Carney arrived at 619 Sqn during March 1945 as a member of the following crew:

    Pilot: F/O Seazell, F.W.
    F/Eng. Sgt. Ruddock, j.
    Nav. F/O Thomson, W.H.
    A/Br.: Sgt. Smith, F.H.
    W/Op: Sgt. Ross, F
    M.U. Gunner: Sgt. Carney, T.
    R/Gnr: Sgt. Marshall, G. W. V.

    First op 12.3.1945.

I have not been able to identify Sgt. Gamble. He is not listed among the crews mentioned in the moving order of June 1945. The unit disbands 18 July 1945.
