Malcolm,
LR267 looks the most likely candidate, though nothing concrete:
LR267 FBVI 418/13OTU Dived into ground 2m E of Berkhamsted Bucks. 26.9.44 presumed structural failure.

Hi All
The following were both killed on 26-Sep 1944: -
Fg Off DENNIS, WILLIAM JACK EVANS (153484) age: 21 RAFVR
Fg Off SMITH, ERNEST ARTHUR (135097) age: 22 RAFVR
Their deaths are registered in Aylesbury and may have been flying a Mosquito, has anyone any further details?
All the best
Malcolm

Hi Martyn
Thanks for that I had thought about 13 OTU but had forgotten that it moved from Bomber Command, hence why this one wasn't in Chorley.
