    Hi guys

I'm seeking the serial numbers of Beaufighters lost on the following dates, please

    46 Squadron
    18/10/43

    47 Squadron
    5/11/43 (two)
    6/11/43 (two)
    26/11/43
    13/2/44

    108 Squadron
    1/10/44 ?KV903

    252 Squadron
    16/5/44
    25/5/44
    19/6/44
    28/7/44
    1/8/44 (two)
    23/9/44

    603 Squadron
    13/4/44
    15/5/44
    30/8/44
    13//9/44
    16/9/44

I hope to find some of these on my next visit to Kew, but many ORBs are of little help. So just the odd one or two will be of assistance.

    Cheers
    Brian

    Hello Brian,

    June 1, 1944 252 squadron
W/Cmdr B G Meharg with his navigator F/O E H G Thompson in NE293 “M” Aircraft was hit by flak before reaching the convoy and dived into the sea with one wing on fire on the east side of the convoy, and while the 252 sqdn ORB records “no survivors were seen” it is known that W/Cmdr Meharg and his navigator became PoWs.

    Regards,

    Ian

PS The account keeps running up !

    108 Squadron
    1/10/44

KV903 was SOC October 1944 ex 108 sqdn but no other details, so only an outsider.
