Managed to locate the crash site of Spitfire P7902 aircraft on Doddington Moor today,
I am already in contact with the family and have passed the details on.

This, from my 'For Your Tomorrow - A record of New Zealanders who have died while serving with the RNZAF and Allied Air Services since 1915 (Volume Two: Fates 1943-1998)', might also be of interest to you:

    Wed 5 May 1943
57 Operational Training Unit, RAF (Eshott, Northumberland - 9 Group)
Spitfire IIA P7902 - one of a formation of Spitfires which at 1500 was ‘bounced’ by a number of Hurricanes from 59 OTU. In the mêlée that followed P7902 collided with Hurricane I AG111, both crashing near Wooler, 23 miles NW of Eshott. The Spitfire pilot was buried on the 10th at East Chevington, about 4 miles west of Eshott.
Pilot: NZ416496 Sgt Fergus HULTON, RNZAF - Age 19. 294hrs (33 on Spitfire)

And from Vol Three (Biographies & Appendices):

HULTON, F – crashed into a bog close to a dry stone wall at Doddington Hill, near Wooler. Both pilots died, the Hurricane crashing onto Horton Moor near Doddington.

    HULTON, Sergeant Fergus.
