    Hello,

    Could someone with access to a copy of A-Bs JA100 to JA999 Vol., please provide me with a full service history of Wellington X JA125?

    Hello Col,

    JA125 was a Wellington X. 311 FTU / 1 OADU / 420 / 37. swung on take-off ; hit another aircraft and blew up, Cerignla, 29.12.43.

    Hello Rob,

    Thanks mate, most interesting. Have amended details in previous post. Both references that l sighted, quoted location as Foggia*, SEXTON RAAF being admitted to 30th Military Forces Hospital, Foggia, Italy.

    * Obviously meaning, Foggia No.2/Tortorella.

    Default Wellington X JA-125

    Hi Col. Flew its first op with 420 sq as "L" on Sept 13/14,1943 to Pompei. Did 6 more ops with the last to Grossetti Airfield on Oct 5/6,1943. 420 Squadron were then posted back to the UK and their aircraft dispersed to other Squadrons.
