    Robert. Thanks again for your help. Have located a copy of the book and waiting for delivery, SS. Politician story makes an interesting tale, seem to remember the film from my 'younger' days ha ha. Plan to have another try with the Archives.

    The crash site is off Eilean da Ghallagain Island, Escart Bay, West Loch Tarbert. Many of the occupants were not recovered until the 13/14 th July with LAC Bowen being the last recovered on 25th July.

    Hi Rob, not sure if you have it or need it for your information. I have obtained a copy from the New Zealand Defence Force of the court of enquiry report on the fatal crash of Fokker FX11 HM159. It was fortunate my late father was on leave and was not on the plane at that time although had flown in it before with his friend F/Lt Knox who perished in the crash.
