Default 1169219 LAC (Pilot u/t) Anthony John Evans Foster died 21 Apr 41.

    Hello All,
The above airman died on 21 Apr 41. It seems likely he was learning to be an Airframe Driver? He is buried in Grantham Cemetery so the learning may have been going on at some FTS fairly near Grantham.
I have his CWGC entry. I have his civilian Birth Reg. I have his civilian Death Reg (but not the DC). I can estimate when he Enlisted. The weather chart on the day of death does not seem to be too frightening (almost Gp Capt’s weather!)

    BUT
1 I cannot find him in the rafweb Casualty List.
2 I cannot find him in the GRO List on findmypast.
3 I do not have access to Henk’s database (he’s already covered 1941).
4 I cannot find him by searching rafcommands via Google (this latter may well be because of my computer inabilities!!).

SO, can anyone tell me (a) what the Cause of Death was, (b) his Unit, and (c) the precise location of any crash (assuming the death was flying related)

Any pointers will be gratefully received. TIA.
    Peter Davies

    Peter,
I've him on Battle P6674 of 12 FTS, shot down by an enemy fighter aircraft, and crashed near Stroxton, 1 mile SE of Harlaxton, also killing Sgt (Pilot) Ralph KILBURN - 758086.
    Regards,
    Henk.
