    Hi Henk

    AC1 Albert T. BATH - Lancaster, Lancashire
    AC2 Leonard A. FIELDHOUSE - Ince, Lancashire
Cpl Robert A. JOHNSTON - Basingstoke, Hampshire
Cpl John G. CLARK - Cambridge
    Sgt Kenneth H. ROBERTSON - not Eng/Wales
    F/Lt William L. WEAGER - Liverpool North
F/Sgt (Ag) George C. STRINGER - Newmarket, Suffolk

I assume Nutt died in hospital at Ely as he is registered there rather than in Norfolk?

    Hi Henk,

    From F1180

No.144MU had a fatal accident with Beaufighter KV913 which stalled and caught fire.

2 killed scored out then 1 and 3rd party added

Pliot shown as killed 1431393, Sgt J J Garner. So possibly Hellewell was also involved.

Martinet I - HP355 - 1482 Flt - Hit fence during practice attack on AA-site, West Raynham (already as a fatal casualty on this aircraft: P/O [Pilot] E.A. NUTT - 143897).
    Nutt confirmed as only casualty.

    Regards
    Ross

Sgt Kenneth Hood ROBERTSON age 20, died of acute asthma and is buried in Springbank cemetery Aberdeen. His death is registered in Scotland but I do not know which unit he served on. To be a sgt at 20 suggests aircrew but with asthma and myocarditas as the causes of death, I coule be wrong.

One thing is certain - Registrars of BMD in Scotland, have the same dreadful handwriting as doctors throughout the UK!!

    Colin Cummings

PS The info comes from the website Scotlandspeople, which allows both BMD searches and register entries to be observed online.

Thanks Colin for info on ROBERTSON.

    Ross,
Sgt GARNER was on my 'unaccounted' list but I didn't name him as he was GRO-listed as "1 PPD". Both GARNER and HELLEWELL are buried at the El Alia Cem., Algiers, Algeria.
Correct serial of the Beaufighter was KV915 rather than KV913. The 144 MU aircraft stalled at Maison Blanche.
    Regards,
    Henk.
