    Default Sgt. T. I. L. DAGG 78 Sqdn - KIA 29/06/1943

    Hi All

I am researching Sgt. THEODORE IVAN LISHMAN DAGG for a friend of mine.

Unfortunately I do not have BCL for 1943 so all the info is so far from the CWGC website. He was a Wop/AG, killed on 29/06/1943 whilst with 78 squadron.

Can anyone supply any further information.

    Thanks very much in advance,

    Russ

    Hi RussG

The entry in Chorley's BCL 1943 shows the following info:

    Sgt P W J Rendle RAAF +
    Sgt L Howarth +
    Sgt G J Samuel +
    Sgt C A Morris +
    Sgt T I L Dagg +
    Sgt F Hill +
    W R Townsend RCAF +

T/o Breighton. believed shot down by nightfighter, crashing 01.25 at Valkenburg (Limburg) 10km ENE of Maastricht, Holland.
All rest in Maastricht General cemetery.
Flak from batteriesnear Aachen are also mentioned as a possible cause leading to the destruction of this Halifax.

If only the Halifax i am tracing was so well documented in this way!!!

    Hope this helps anyway.

    regards Nick
