Bryce Gomersall's The Stirling File has the crash at Catley Hill, Motty, Co. Durham. Bill Chorley's listing of the crew positions would indicate that Sgt. Pryke may have been an air gunner.

Hello All,
(62442) Sgt Arthur William Pryke was a casualty when Stirling I W7470 crashed on a X-country Ex. rafweb quotes "Motty" as the impact location. Can't find Motty. Presume it's somewhere near Trimdon, Co Durham? And what was my 'Local Boy' Pryke's airborne Trade?
TIA

Came down at Catley hill, Co Durham, Catley Hill is not far from Knotty, so could be where the mistake lies.
