My understanding is that recruits on the PNB Scheme had up to 12 hours flying to prove they could go solo as a pilot. Those who failed were remustered as navigators or bomb aimers.

What body was in place at the Grading Schools to decide who was P, N or B? Was there a Board similar to the ACSB?. If so, what was it called?. If not, what formal procedure was in place to remuster the recruits?
