    Default S R Pemberton, 55 Course 2 SFTS 1940/41

    Guys,

Another one who thankfully survived the war, being mentioned in 1945 and listed as receiving a commission with some of the others upon passing out as Air Cadets in 1941.

Any ideas who he is and what he got up to?

    Regards,

    Nick

Not a common name so a search in the London Gazette turns him up very quickly, should be your first stop for all of these.

Now, a lot of them outght have been commishioned at the same time, so is there more of the Class names in that issue of the London Gazette, or what are the date of commishion fo rall the men you have found so far? Some will not be commishioned, some will be commished later int he war.

    Well done Dennis,

For some reason, l cannot down load London Gazette, closing me out, but l will sort that.

The Commission numbers on those l have found so far are not too dissimilar.

I would suggest though less than half received their commissions at the end of this course.

    Regards,

    Nick

If he has been dead for over 25 years then apply to Cranwell for his full service records.
