    Hello All,

The above mentioned Canadian pilot was shot down on 25.07.44 in Normandy (443 Sqn) and was reported to have been taken prisoner near Villers-Bocage. Does anyone know in which Stalag he was held? Also, it seems that he was repatriated in February 1945, suggesting that he may been injured in abandoning his aircraft and so has spent time in a military hospital.

Any details about his fate between July 44 and February 45 would be welcomed and appreciated

    TIA

    Phil

    Hi Phil

Did you obtain a copy of his service file? The answers you seek could be in it. I see he died in December 1945 and his file is in the WW2 database so he died as a result of the War.
