Default Sgt John Walter Nowlan, 17th August 1941, 104 Squadron

    Guys,

Sgt John Walter Nowlan died on 17th August 1941, outbound on board a 104 Squadron Wellington, the aircraft crashed near Gainsborough.

Does anyone have any reason for the crash?

    http://www.bcar.org.uk/1941.html

This website shows name in error as Nolan, although it states 'cause of crash not established'.

Googling W5532 shows either engine trouble or a victim of a nightfighter flown by Hans Hahn.
