    Hello all,

can anyone tell me how Bertie Walter Sharpe (1211374) died, please? He was serving with 126 Squadron and is commemorated on Runnymede.

    From the ORB
Ramrod 1522 - Escort 130 Lancasters to HOLENDORF
    FL Sharpe Mustang KH489 'O'
On route crashed into sea 5 miles off Dutch coast. Mayday given, no wreckage seen. No dinghy seen.
Sharpe had been with the squadron since 7 Oct 1944 and had been Adjutant for the past few months.

Cheers Andy, spot on! I don't suppose anyone knows his movements prior to joining 126 Squadron? He was training at 61 OTU in July 1942.

    Cheers,
