    Default Yank in Bomber Command

    Gents,

I have a American air gunner Sergeant F W "Freddie" Cornwell who completed a tour on No.218 (Gold Coast) Squadron in October 1943 while a member of the USAAF. He went on to serve with a USAAF group, can anyone tell me how I can checkout what happened to this gunner post 218.

    TIA

    Hello Steve

You may try your luck with the "Department of Veterans Affairs", providing them with the informations you have, full ID and service number. I don't know if they would reply but it's worth a try. Also, they have a "DVA" in each State, so if you know from which state he came from, it might be shorter this way.
