PS There also appear to be some Riddell children born in Chile after the marriage - but do not know if they are traceable. As Norman Charles appears to come back to UK (if the above is, indeed, him!!) then any progeny might be. They might have log books, etc?

    John, Hi,
Don't know. It's not my line of country. Best I can suggest is that you Google the Sqns to see if you can find a Sqn website, or the Sqn Historian. BSAA, I think, became part of BOAC - which eventually became BA. BA (etc) have a good archive and, from comments made here from time to time, are quite helpful. You might get some ideas there?

Default A page about Norman Riddell

I have registered in this page to refer a page about Norman Riddell. I did not kow him but I was one of the last regular customers of the first pub he had in Santiago de Chile, The Cross Keyes. In my times, early 90s, the owner was Willy Pèrez, another WW II Raf man, and was managed by Santiago Espinoza, his brother in law. The son of Norman Riddell had another pub nearby, The Golden Bell. But all this is much better explained in the pahe whose link I give here: http://www.far-eastern-heroes.org.uk/Norman/
I hope this be useful to someone in this page.
I do this because I am very grateful for the people I met at The Cross Keyes an the times I had there.
    Thank you.
