    Default 18056 Flight Lieutenant Kenneth MacOnochie, 19.11.39

    Does anyone have any information on the above pilot who died in 1939, he is buried in Camerton near Bath.

    All i can tell you at this moment, is that his death was registered at Pwllheli, Caernarvonshire.

    Sorry if this is a repeat but I cannot open the post above and link to the old board.

    Maconachie and P/O D R J Paterson were the crew of Harrow K6939. The aircraft took off with the control locks engaged and it dived into the ground shortly after becoming airborne.

    If what I have posted is at variance to what is in the post above, please will somebody tell me!!!!????

    Gladiator I - K7950 - 12 Gp Pool - dived into ground Little Rissington (for this aircraft already as a casualty: Sgt [Pilot] Kenneth J. LINTON - 740020).
    Harrow II - K6939 - 9 BGS - crashed on take-off Penrhos.

    P/O (Pilot) Douglas R.J. PATERSON - 74972, buried Pwllheli Borough Cem., Caerns.

    Possible aircraft:
    Hart I - K3762 - 7 FTS - crashed in forced landing Peakirk, Northants.
    Magister I - L5979 - RAF Marham - crashlanded Newmarket (for this aircraft already have F/Lt [Pilot] C.H. SIMPSON, who survived the accident).
