Default Halifax LK783 & LK784 - who to contact for exact crash locations

Who in France would be the best to contact for help in discovering the precise crash location of two 76 Squadron Halifax bombers, shot down during the night of 2-3 June, 1944. They had just attacked the SNCF Trappes marshalling yards, West of Paris . The research of the third 76 Squadron aircraft lost that night, MZ604 MP-W, has now been completed.

    1) Halifax LK783 MP-C, known crash area Treon, Northern France crew of 7 buried at Dreux
    2) Halifax LK784 MP-D, known crash area Faverolles, Northern France. Crew of 7 buried at Dreux.

Any help /suggestions /clues would be greatly appreciated, thank you

    Hello,

The regional group which should cover the Dreux area is ANSA 39-45 (Association Normande du Souvenir Aérien).

    Check their website at http://www.ansa39-45.fr

If you don't make contact through their website, drop me a pm or an e-mail and I'll forward you direct e-mail addresses.
