    Default Unaccounted airmen - 2-11-1940

What caused the death of and/or what were the places of death registration for:

Cpl Maurice E. SCRIMSHAW - 571789 - not found Flight archives, and
F/Sgt (Pilot) Moran G. ('Mark') STEELE - 512566 - killed on active service.

Regards and thanks for your help.
    Henk.

    Hi Henk
An accident at Lyneham would probably be registered at Chippenham but if any on board were taken to hospital it would likely be RAF Wroughton, and a later death there would be registered at Swindon.

    Dick/Henk

Lyneham was in the Swindon registration area at that time, see http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/

    Gents,
AB 'Aeromilitaria' has for "3"-11-1940: Anson I - L7926 - 6 FTS - flew into high ground 3 miles NE of Lacock, Wiltshire. Could STEELE have been a casualty on this aircraft ?
    Regards,
    Henk.

    Gents,

finger trouble again! The Lysander serial should read T1614.
